Sizing Guide

Finding the right height

A raised bowl works best when it's matched to your dog, not the room. As a rough starting point, the top of the bowl usually sits around the height of your dog's lower chest, so they can eat without craning down or reaching up.

How to measure

With your dog standing naturally, measure from the floor to the point of the elbow (where the front leg meets the chest). That measurement is a good guide for the ideal bowl height. If you're between sizes, size down slightly rather than up.

Our three heights

  • Low — small breeds and dachshunds (think pugs, minis, terriers).
  • Medium — mid-size dogs (spaniels, border collies, staffies).
  • Tall — large and long-legged breeds (labradors, greyhounds, ridgebacks).

Not sure? Send us your dog's breed and their height at the shoulder and we'll recommend a size. Raised feeding suits a lot of dogs, but if your dog has a specific health condition, it's worth a quick word with your vet first.
